First day of kindergarten!!

Okay - so don't let her fool you - Sophie has not been promoted to kindergarten - she just wishes she was. This was Sophie on Anna's first day of kindergarten. Isn't she adorable?? She had to have everything just like Anna. Off to Lindy's we go!

Here is the big kindergartener! Can you believe it? I can't. What a big grown-up girl. She LOVES school and is doing wonderful. Good job, Anna!

Buddy

While dog sitting for friends we discovered that their beloved pet had gone missing. Buddy was MIA and we were looking for him around the house. Here was where we found him. I think he looks pretty content (how bout you?).

Our first trip to Six Flags! Julia was 1 week old when we ventured out to Six Flags. The girls had a ton of fun and baby J was awesome!

Okay - for all of you who are harping on me to update my blog - here it is! These are Julia's one month pics. Isn't she just so sweet? I could just eat her up! She is such a good baby. She still wakes up about one time a night. That's not too bad. She loves to be cuddled and she totally loves her big sisters! They love her too. She weighed 9 lbs at her checkup and is doing fantastic. I am so in love with my girls. Nothing could be better. God knows what he is doing - he knows that my girls are the most important thing to me (next to my husband) and He knows that three girls make up a wonderful girl-ing (gerling) family!!!!! Poor Donald.

Julia Claire

Julia Claire finally arrived on July 23rd, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs and
9 oz and was 19 and 1/2 inches long. Labor went pretty smoothly as I did have the epidural this time around. I was lucky that I got it when I did because an hour after I got it - I was fully dilated and ready to push - yikes! She did have the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and it left a nasty mark there. After all that the only thing we cared about was the fact that she was healthy - thank the lord! After we had been home for 24 hours we noticed a bump on her head. Talk about two very scared parents. If I wasn't post-partum before I was now! We called the nurse line and the doctor on call and they told us that it sounded like a hematoma (due to trauma during delivery). Since she was doing okay physically we went ahead and waited till Monday to see the doctor. She confirmed that it was a hematoma and that it would go away within a few months. I told Donald that we would just invest in lots of hats and hair bands (just joking). She is absolutely beautiful and she is such a good baby. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little tribe of girls. As for the big ones - they have been doing fantastic! Their behavior is so much better than I anticipated and I couldn't ask for better. We actually made a trip to Six Flags last Friday and had a great time. I even got out this morning to take the girls to get their hair cut. It was my first time out with everyone by myself (score one for mom)!! I will post my Six Flags pictures the next time I sign on.
